Thankfully all that has now resolved but it did mean at that time I was stuck at home, unable to drive, unable to get to work and as a consequence I started to financially struggle to fund my small wild hedgehog rescue. I was in a pretty desperate situation, it negatively affected my mood and I was anxious over the future of my hedgehog rescue.

I'd always found candles so expensive especially the more well known brands. If they weren't expensive then they sometimes didn't smell much. I decided I'd have a go at making my own, I found it so therapeutic, just the achievement of making my own candle and then the enjoyment of lighting it after. After a few months I tried selling my candles at the local community market, unbelievably I managed to sell some. This gave me the confidence to do an online drop shop, a fundraising effort to fund food and supplies for hedgehogs I was overwintering. The Hogmas Collection was a massive success for me , After costs I  made about £150, enough to buy food for 4 months for the hedgehogs and I can't tell you the sense of achievement I felt. So here we are over 1 year later and I've absolutely loved my candle making journey. In my spare time over the last 12 months I've focused on perfecting my craft whilst looking after hedgehogs in my Rescue and now I'm finally confident to start my own business.

My products are a little bit quirky, I have decided to name my products after wild hedgehogs habitat and behaviours to help promote public awareness of the challenges they face. My little business has evolved and more recently I have introduced room sprays. I'm hoping to expand my customer base in the online area and hope you'll join me on my exciting journey.🦔
